Tatiana Prozorova's reported pro-Putin position ignites uproar before her 1R match with Caroline Wozniacki at US Open.

Caroline Wozniacki is scheduled to compete in her first Grand Slam tournament since she took a nearly three-year break from the Majors to focus on her

preparations for the 2023 US Open. The last time the former world No. 1 competed

at a Grand Slam tournament was in 2020 at the Australian Open, where she was defeated by Ons Jabeur in the third round in three sets.

Wozniacki is the newest member of a group of tennis parents who have returned to the game after having children. 

Other members of this group include Elina Svitolina, Victoria Azarenka, Kim Clijsters, and Serena Williams.

Wozniacki has never been victorious at the US Open in her career, but she has made it to the finals on two separate occasions.

In 2009, the Dane was defeated by Kim Clijsters in a match that went 5-7, 3-6, and in 2014, Serena Williams defeated her in a match that went 3-6, 3-6.
