Noah Lyles became the first man since Usain Bolt to achieve a world championship triple by winning the 100-meter
200-meter, and 4x100-meter relay events in Budapest, Hungary, last week.
He was upset over NBA players utilizing the title of "world champion" after winning the NBA Finals.
"You know what bothers me the most is that I have to watch the NBA Finals while they are wearing the 'world champion' cap.
What is the world champion at? What about the United States?"
Lyles responded to a question after winning the 200-meter dash."Don't misunderstand me.
That is not how the world works. We are the entire globe. Almost every country is battling, flourishing,
and flying their flag to demonstrate that they are represented. In the NBA, there are no flags."
