NFL world reacts to horrific Russell Wilson news

Russell Wilson will face enormous pressure this season. Wilson joined the Broncos in a blockbuster deal last season.

Many observers were bullish about the Broncos after acquiring Wilson. It went disastrously fast. Wilson was terrible, and the squad went 4-13.

2023 should offer more optimism and better results. Sean Payton replaces Nathaniel Hackett for the Broncos this season.

Wilson will lead, and expectations are high. It's not all good, though. Mike Tannenbaum, a former NFL general manager, issued a nasty prediction regarding the Super Bowl champion's season.

In an ESPN Get Up interview, Tannenbaum remarked, “I would be shocked if Russell Wilson was the starter for 17 games this season.”

“Sean Payton talks to ownership about culture and accountability in Year 1. Russell Wilson will be an opportunity for Bill Parcells to hold players accountable.

If there's a problem, Greeny will tell Jerry Jeudy, Garrett Bowles, and the youthful nucleus of this squad, ‘The standard is the standard, and if I sit Russell Wilson, I can bench you.’

“And I know Sean's mind. Russell Wilson will be benched for the smallest hiccup in the road, and Sean will use it to create the culture and standard moving forward.”
