June Mar Fajardo says, "Nayanig ako" (I was shocked) after getting punched by Delgado.

JUNE Mar Fajardo confirmed the internet's suspicions that Dominican Republic center Angel Delgado sneak punched him during Gilas Pilipinas' opening game of the FIBA Basketball World Cup on Friday night.

After Gilas Pilipinas' 87-81 loss to the Dominican Republic at the Philippine Arena,

Fajardo said he was astonished that Delgado had punched him in the stomach when they were both going down the court.

After Gilas Pilipinas' Saturday night practice ahead of their next game against Angola, Fajardo was asked about the Delgado punch, and he responded, "Oo nga."

Fajardo claimed he had done nothing to provoke the ex-NBA star and that he had no idea why Delgado would assault him.

Sorry, I just don't know eh. Soft-spoken Fajardo said, "Tumatakbo lang ako tapos sinuntok niya."

The six-time PBA MVP pointed angrily at Delgado after the hit, but he didn't respond or start a brawl, as is usual of Fajardo, according to supporters.

According to San Miguel's big man, he was so engrossed in the game that he completely forgot about retailiating.
