A $5.9 million trade proposal sends a Seahawks receiver to an NFC contender.

The Seattle Seahawks must decide on Dee Eskridge's future, which has some observers wondering if the team will consider dealing the wideout.

According to Bleacher Report's Alex Ballentine, the Seahawks should explore sending Eskridge to the Eagles to provide both parties a fresh start.

"The Seahawks' decision this year to draft Jaxon Smith-Njigba should be the final indication that they've given up on Eskridge," Ballentine wrote on August 24, 2023.

"Even a late Day 3 pick would allow them to move on and receive something in return."

In terms of teams that might be interested, the Eagles are worth a call. "Earlier this summer, The Athletic's Bo Wulf connected the reigning NFC Champions with the speedy receiver."

Ballentine is essentially asking Seattle to trade Eskridge for a potential late-round pick. Despite being a previous second-round choice,

Eskridge has only caught one touchdown in his first two seasons in Seattle. Eskridge received a six-game punishment from the league after an eventful offseason.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, a rookie wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks, is recovering from wrist surgery.

The good news is that Seattle has plenty of receiver depth, making Eskridge expendable. The Seahawks are counting on DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba to be their top three receivers.
